1 Use security software

Having security software on your endpoints – and making sure it’s kept up to date – is the first line of defence for any system, and VoIP is no exception. Don’t neglect mobile devices like smartphones and tablets which are frequently used for VoIP calls.

2 Strong passwords

Setting a strong password is an effective way to protect your VoIP system. Ideally, this should be 12 or more characters long and use a combination of letters, numbers and symbols. 3 Backup often

4 Check your history
